Admissions Information

Admissions Requirements for EMT and Paramedic Programs

  1. Registration fee.
  2. Signed Application
  3. Two Letters of Recommendation
  4. Photo Identification
  5. Proof of Age, Minimum 18 (i.e. Drivers License, Birth Certificate, State Issued ID)
  6. Proof of High School Graduation or GED
  7. Social Security Card, verification for tax purposes
  8. Missouri EMT-B License
  9. CPR Certification (AHA BLS or ARC CPR for Professional Rescuer)
  10. DHSS Worker Registry
  11. Documentation of MMR or Antibody Titer Test
  12. Documentation of Current Hepatitis B Vaccination, or signed waiver.
  13. Documentation of NEGATIVE PPD (Tuberculosis) in the last 12 months
  14. Documented Physical Exam performed within last year by a DO or MD
  15. Official copies of all previous college transcripts if seeking Associate’s degree

If you are interested in the Paramedic program. Once you have obtained items 1 thru 9, call the Registrar at (314) 768-1234 ext. 1120 to set up an appointment for your oral interview with the Paramedic Program Director and/or Director of Education. Please allow an hour of your time for the interview. After completing this process, a test date will be scheduled. The exam will cover basic EMT knowledge, elements of English Composition and Math. Items 10 thru 14 will need to be submitted to the Registrar prior to the first day of class.
